She deserves more credibility...

Because how many times have you heard the average Sonic fan/Amy hater claim the following?;

- "Amy's useless!"
- "She always gets kidnapped!/She gets kidnapped more than anyone else!"
- "She's an annoying bitch!"
- "SEGA should replace her with Sally!"

...conveniently skipping over the fact that;

- She's kind and has her heart in the right place, even helping the poor little bird reunite with it's friends/kin in Sonic Adventure and then destroying ZERO when it hurt said bird. She acts like a big sister figure to Cream as well and even took it upon herself to save Cream from Cryptic Castle in Shadow the Hedgehog with Shadow's assistance and she even had an extremely important role in SA2 when she made a pretty moving speech to Shadow, inspiring him to assist the heroes and save the world. Let's not forget how angry she was at Wave when she dissed and insulted Tails and his Extreme Gear-making capability and even raced her in the Babylon story in Riders to get her own back for Tails.

- In Sonic Battle, she gathered Emerald Shards and made a full Emerald to give to Emerl not to mention she had a hand in cultivating Emerl's abilities just as much as everyone else.

- Regardless of what Amy haters like to believe, Sonic does not hate her in any way, shape or form and regards her as one of his closest friends even if he doesn't reciprocate her affections.

- Elise got kidnapped more times over the course of the story of the travesty called SONIC '06 than what Amy ever has over the course of the entire series and even when Amy was kidnapped in Sonic Adventure, she managed to talk Gamma into freeing her and even escaped through the Hot Shelter by herself. Also, fans tend to grossly exaggerate the amount of times that she's actually been kidnapped. I can only recall Sonic CD, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Riders off of the top of my head and Eggman pointing a gun at her head and Tails when they made it to the main research center on the ARK in SA2 was a matter of him doing it opportunistically without detection and hostage-holding and is NOT a form of kidnap.

- Her "annoyingness" has been ramped up to eleven and Flanderized by incompetent writers who think that her crush on Sonic DEFINES her personality when it doesn't. Amy is not the air-headed, romance-obsessed ditz that a lot of fans think she is, there's far more to her character than that.

- She's incredibly brave and determined. '06 non-canonicity is NOT RELEVANT to the fact that she had the innate determination to retrieve a Chaos Emerald in the middle of a world being literally torn apart in the effort to save Sonic from death. Shall I also add how she had the restraint to allow Elise to perform the ritual to bring Sonic back even though it resulted in a kiss? All she was fixated on was seeing Sonic alive again and had every hope for this to come to fruition. Just look at her body language, she is ACTUALLY PRAYING for Sonic's return - [link]

- Sally never has and in all likelihood never will be introduced in canon games. Sonic's character is morphed in order to gel with her in order to make Archie's OTP look good. Deal with it.

Amy deserves more credibility than what a lot of her haters and what a lot of the fandom give her.
