Metallic madness good F scene

5 hours, 3 layers and endless frustration later, this was born!

I'm so happy with this. It was the end result of so many hours of frustration because whenever I copied and pasted one of those octagonal things to multiply it so i could make a frame of them, the background had to be redone due to the center of the hexagon shape covering the background, same went for the tops of those little trees, the tree's were the hardest to do. I wasn't the savviest to the method of zone pixellation on layers when this was first created, hence the wanton frustration this caused when it shouldn't have. So the creation method of this piece just epitomized my n00bishness and lack of finesse back then.

Ahem, anyway, this scene is a level in Sonic CD, which is the good outcome of Metallic Madness zone. If the level look itself isn't lovely enough (Looks like the mutant lovechild of sky sanctuary zone and scrap brain zone to me), the japanese music is even more so. Everything was made from scratch and took quite a while to get right. I think about 5 hours was kinda overly long although it looks rather simplistic and not really at all detail oriented (There's only so much I can do in this style), I have a certain proud fondness for this work.
